Summer at Powers Music School is the perfect place for kids to explore instruments, learn the foundations of music, and bring out the rhythm and song inside of them! You and your camper can learn all about this musical camp at the Boston Camp Fair!
Summer at Powers Music School offers two programs for those just starting their musical journeys (Kids Crescendo and Sound Safari) and three for more advanced students (Music on the Hill, Suzuki on the Hill, String Traditions). Kids Crescendo (ages 5-11, CITs ages 13-15) is a 1 or 2-week immersive experience for kids to learn and understand music through movement, story, and song. Participants learn basic violin and keyboard skills, translate their energy into percussion, and showcase all they’ve learned in a final performance. Sound Safari (ages 8-12) is a unique and fun 1-week exploration of a variety of different musical instruments and genres. This program is great choice for anyone hoping to try and decide on an instrument before the start of the school year!
