Going to summer camp can provide many benefits for children and young adults. Some of these benefits include the opportunity to make new friends, learn new skills, and experience new activities. Camp can also provide a break from the daily routine and a chance to spend time outdoors and in nature.
Many camps also offer the opportunity for personal growth and development, as campers are often challenged to try new things and step out of their comfort zones. Additionally, attending camp can help develop important life skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. For many families, sending their kids to camp is a rite of passage. Now that we've discussed the benefits of attending summer camp, what are the steps to finding the ideal camp fit for your kids? Well, if you live in Boston or the surrounding area, we suggest attending the Boston Camp Fair. This free summer camp expo event takes place Saturday, February 11 at the Artists for Humanity Epicenter in Boston. Over 50 different kids of summer camps will be exhibiting their programs from 12pm to 3pm at the Camp Fair. Spend as much time as you need visiting each booth, meeting and speaking with camp representatives, and learning about their programs. After the camp fair, you'll have all the info you need to compare the various program opportunities for your child's camp experience this summer...and then ultimately pick the best camp for you! There's just one more thing you need to know... Even though the Boston Camp Fair is free, you will need tickets to get in. We're giving away free snacks and beverages at the event, so we want to make sure we have enough free food for everyone :) Also, by taking advance tickets, you'll help the camps determine how many free brochures and marketing materials to bring to the Camp Fair so they have enough to distribute to everyone. Get your free tickets today!
